1 · A First Witness 👀

After He rose, Jesus didn’t seek Peter or John. He didn’t address the crowds. He found Mary Magdalene—a woman once bound by seven demons, discarded by society—and spoke her name. Then He entrusted her with the most important message in history:

“Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?”
— John 20:15
Her eyes fell on Him, and in that instant, everything changed. Mary became the first preacher of the resurrection: “He is not here. He is risen!” (Luke 24:6)

2 · What It Says About Us 💬

In first-century Palestine, women’s testimony held no legal weight. Jewish courts refused to accept a woman’s word alone. Yet Jesus deliberately chose Mary as His first ambassador. He shattered cultural barriers to send a clear message:

  • God doesn’t play by human rules.

  • He sees beyond our past, hears beyond the noise.

  • He empowers the overlooked and the outcast.

Mary’s history—seven demons, rejection, shame—didn’t disqualify her. Instead, it highlighted Jesus’ heart: He lifts those the world has written off and gives them a platform no one else can.

3 · Fruit God Wants from Us 🍇

Jesus didn’t just free Mary from demons; He freed her voice. And He calls us to do the same for others… mirroring His pattern of inclusion.

The “fruit” He looks for includes:

  • Advocating for the voiceless. When you see someone dismissed or silenced, speak up.

  • Valuing past stories. Don’t let a person’s history define their purpose; look for their potential.

  • Erring on the side of grace. Before passing judgment, offer understanding and hope.

God’s kingdom thrives when we tear down walls, step across dividing lines, and amplify voices that society mutes.

4 · Your 24-Hour Challenge ⏳

Live Mary’s moment today.

  1. Notice someone ignored. Look for a person—coworker, classmate, neighbor—who feels unseen or undervalued.

  2. Speak their name. Send them a message of affirmation: “I see you. You matter.”

  3. Share hope. Give them a simple truth: “Jesus sees you—past, present, future.”

“When you empower one voice, you echo the resurrection.”
